Our goal is to not only teach cartooning, but to also help develop your child's appreciation of their academic subjects. In our programs kids learn how academic subjects are even used in the making of a cartoon and related products.

As a professional artist and fellow homeschooler I know first hand the day to day struggles in keeping kids on point. Students especially creative ones don't always realize the importance of academic subjects, and I was one of them. Why did I need to learn those "boring subjects? I just wanted to be an artist, I just wanted to be a cartoonist.

My son James took every cartooning class that was offered by Debi from Kindergarten to 5th grade. To this day James says he learned more from Debi than any teacher or art class he ever had. James became an artist in Debi's class and went on to get a scholarship at the School of Visual Arts. As a parent of a child not into sports, I was so glad Debi’s classes were available. She is an excellent teacher.

In addition to my studio work, over the past 25+ years I've given thousands of cartooning workshops to public and private schools along with numerous organizations, libraries, children's camps, churches and homeschool groups.
The video lessons in my online program will be self paced, supported by downloadable worksheets. In addition to this we will be offering periodic live trainings. Classes can be taken on a iPad, tablet, laptop, computer or even a smart phone. Our classes move with you and your child.
